Towards a Framework for Inclusive Gesture Controlled User Interface Design

چکیده

We have developed a gesture-controlled user interface (GCUI) application called OpenGesture, to help users carry out everyday activities such as making phone calls and controlling home appliances. OpenGesture uses simple hand gestures to perform a range of tasks via an augmented reality television interface. This paper introduces OpenGesture, and reports evaluative studies of its usability and inclusivity. The results of our evaluation lead us to the proposal of a framework for GCUI development, which may act as a reference for future GCUI-based applications.
